Description

  • Design complex mechanical assemblies and fixtures for PCBA and product-level test systems using CAD tools.
  • Work with rapid fabrication teams and third-party suppliers to source materials, equipment, and products.
  • Integrate mechanical designs into Anduril’s PLM systems.
  • Develop electromechanical systems in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Train technicians on test equipment and related systems.
  • Design and implement next-generation test systems for repeatable and robust product testing.
  • Develop thermal solutions, including heatsinks for RF systems, and contribute to PCBA and harness designs.
  • Apply DFM, DFT, and FEA analysis to improve product and test fixture designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience designing for test and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience with sheet metal design, 3D printing, and CNC machining.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, in-house fabrication, and prototyping processes.
  • Experience with PCBA test fixturing design.
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as load cells, strain gauges, and multimeters.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of integrating electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
  • Working knowledge and proper application of GD&T.
  • Experience with MCAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience designing for test and/or manufacturing (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with mechanical test systems such as thermal or vibration testing (preferred).
  • Active security clearance (preferred).
  • Experience with electrical test equipment (preferred).
