Description

  • Design, develop, and test electronics for EO/IR systems, including sensor electronics and power management.
  • Support systems engineering in defining and refining requirements using physics-based models of sensor and system performance.
  • Assist in designing and developing PCB layouts with the electrical engineering team.
  • Participate in lab and field system testing, and provide data analysis and feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and test electronic components and subsystems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with technical leads and project teams to support system integration efforts.
  • Document test results, system designs, and processes to maintain technical records.
  • Contribute across the full product life cycle from system architecture to production fielding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with system-level design, development, and testing.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with analog and digital electronics design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in laboratory skills, including setting up and running experiments.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in sensor or communication systems such as RF, EO/IR, or optical technologies (preferred).
  • Familiarity with rad-hard and space-based electronics design (preferred).
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++ (preferred).
  • Understanding of system integration processes and workflows in aerospace or defense environments (preferred).
