Description

  • Own all aspects of quality for the Atlanta division to support production of thousands of high-quality products per year.
  • Lead supplier and manufacturing quality initiatives to improve yields and reliability across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the Quality Management System and maintain a sustainable path to AS9100 certification.
  • Lead the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) program.
  • Own and improve quality KPIs across the manufacturing organization, including Cost of Poor Quality, escapes, and supplier defects.
  • Carry out containment, RCCA, and disposition actions for quality escapes or defective material.
  • Establish and implement a Zero Defects program.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Deployment Operations to execute quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with OEM suppliers and manufacturing operations for complex hardware and software systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in an AS9100-regulated environment.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality within aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device industries.
  • Proven record of strategy and execution for Quality Management Systems in a certified AS9100 enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, Change Management, and APQP.
  • Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated ability to drive projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects with a strong operational background.
  • Hands-on leadership style with resourcefulness and an own-the-outcome mindset.
  • Ability to influence and partner with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Master’s degree in a technical field (preferred).
  • Experience auditing AS9100 or other ISO 9001-based QMS standards such as ISO 13485 or IATF 16949 (preferred).
  • Experience with low-volume manufacturing (preferred).
  • Experience manufacturing complex structures such as plane/airframe/avionics/missile systems (preferred).
  • Experience in high-precision, regulated manufacturing environments (preferred).
