Description

  • Process sheet metal parts using CNC laser cutting, CNC press brake, and other machine tools.
  • Perform quality checks on completed products.
  • Troubleshoot issues with fabrication equipment.
  • Maintain fabrication equipment.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Take ownership of fabrication challenges and develop physical solutions.
  • Manufacture solutions directly or oversee the manufacturing process.
  • Support rapid iteration of defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sheet metal processing experience with AMADA ENSIS Fiber Laser.
  • Proficiency in operating AMADA ENSIS Fiber Lasers and supporting equipment.
  • Proficiency in maintenance, installation, and setup of AMADA ENSIS Fiber Lasers and supporting equipment.
  • Proficiency in AMADA Fiber Laser cut conditions and settings.
  • Proficiency in G-Code and M-Code related to AMADA ENSIS Fiber Lasers.
  • CAD experience with SolidWorks or NX, with expertise in sheet metal design.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficiency in sheet metal properties, including material types and physical properties.
  • 3+ years of sheet metal processing experience with AMADA CNC press brake.
  • AMADA CNC press brake tooling setup, programming, and operation experience.
  • 5+ years of metal fabrication experience in an R&D environment.
  • Proficiency with SigmaNest and Amada AP100 CAM software.
  • Ability to work through R&D tasks with limited oversight, including evaluating, designing, ordering materials, and executing work.
  • High mechanical aptitude, ideally with an aerospace, automotive, or motorsports background.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
  • Basic use of conventional machining equipment such as mill and lathe is preferred.
  • General knowledge and operation of waterjet is preferred.
  • Welding experience with GMAW/GTAW across steel, stainless, aluminum, and exotic alloys is preferred.
  • CNC machine operating and setup experience is preferred.
  • General knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of Pem hardware solutions is preferred.
