Description

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance on industrial HVAC/R equipment and related building mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues to minimize downtime and protect production continuity.
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust building management and automation systems to maintain performance and environmental setpoints.
  • Identify and implement energy efficiency and conservation improvements without disrupting critical manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor indoor air quality and perform tasks such as filter changes, coil cleaning, and ventilation issue resolution.
  • Support general facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire/life safety, and basic repair work.
  • Use a CMMS to receive, complete, and document work orders, track equipment history, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Respond to facilities emergencies such as power outages, equipment failures, and leaks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure repairs, installations, and projects are completed safely and on schedule.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate with production, facilities, and management teams.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience as a Building Engineer, HVAC Technician, or Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial HVAC/R systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC/R principles, theories, and best practices.
  • Experience operating and programming Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS), such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Trane.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software, preferably Limble.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical certification in HVAC/R, Facilities Maintenance, or a related field preferred; EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification, trade licenses, and OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification are preferred or highly desirable.
