Description

  • Direct research methodologies and shape the overall research strategy.
  • Define appropriate research activities that support strategic objectives and product and service delivery.
  • Conduct inclusive and robust user research in a public sector context.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teammates as part of an agile delivery team.
  • Adapt to uncertainty and changing priorities throughout the contract.
  • Present research findings in a clear and engaging way to different audiences.
  • Apply GDS standards and the GDS process across multiple stages of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Inform digital services work with knowledge of the technologies used to build and operate digital services.
  • Contribute user research in a policy context.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working as a User Researcher in the public sector.
  • Experience directing research methodologies and research strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
  • Strong adaptability and comfort working with uncertainty.
  • Passion for inclusive and robust research.
  • Ability to define research activities aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Creative and engaging approach to presenting research findings to varied audiences.
  • Knowledge of technologies used to build and operate digital services, including innovative and emergent technologies.
  • Experience working to GDS standards across multiple stages of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Understanding of agile approaches and experience working in agile teams.
  • Experience conducting research in a policy context.
  • Understanding and experience of the GDS process.
