Description

  • Lead and coordinate four small engineering teams across .NET and PHP technology stacks.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure effective team delivery.
  • Matrix-manage engineering teams and support cross-team collaboration.
  • Drive high standards of technical quality, delivery performance, and engineering best practice.
  • Identify and remove delivery blockers to maximise team effectiveness.
  • Improve ways of working and help teams operate more efficiently.
  • Support stronger integration between the engineering teams and the wider technology organisation.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and engineering leadership.
  • Guide technical decision-making across the teams.
  • Champion AI-augmented software development and help teams use tools such as Claude Code and Devin effectively.

Requirements

  • Contract availability for an initial 6-month engagement.
  • Immediate start availability.
  • Experience leading engineering teams across .NET and PHP technologies.
  • Strong expertise in your craft with a willingness to keep learning.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems collaboratively.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly with clients and teammates.
  • Pragmatic, adaptable, and outcome-focused working style.
  • Low-ego collaboration and comfort working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and engineering leadership (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AI-augmented software development tools such as Claude Code and/or Devin (preferred).
