Description

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure that supports digital asset custody, trading, staking, and settlement for enterprise financial institutions.
  • Contribute to virtual accounting layers, API integrations, and multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Write clear, tested code and participate in code reviews to improve engineering practices.
  • Own features through the full lifecycle from development to deployment with increasing autonomy.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, document technical improvements, and contribute to solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and adjacent teams to deliver platform goals.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support the software and infrastructure owned by the team.
  • Work with compliance, legal, and security teams to understand regulatory requirements affecting the platform.
  • Participate in hiring activities such as referrals, interviews, and recruiting events.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and updates proactively to teammates and managers.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional experience building backend services and distributed systems.
  • Experience contributing to customer-facing APIs or multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native microservices; experience with GCP or other cloud providers is acceptable.
  • A track record of writing automated tests alongside features and supporting production systems.
  • Experience participating in on-call support and incident response for production systems.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design; a formal CS degree is not required.
  • A genuine interest in code quality, infrastructure reliability, and security.
  • Ability to prioritize end-user experience and business value.
  • Professional experience with C++, Go, or Rust is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration is a plus.
  • Exposure to ledger systems, virtual accounting layers, or custody infrastructure is a plus.
  • Background in financial services, fintech, or banking-as-a-service platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with system security, including authentication, authorization, and identity management, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for financial institutions such as SOC 2 or bank examinations is a plus.
  • Interest in or exposure to cryptocurrency or digital assets is a plus.
