Description

  • Plan, build, release, and maintain high-quality software for the Atlas business.
  • Serve as the primary driver of system architecture and technical direction.
  • Build secure, resilient infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Review code across the stack and contribute to product development.
  • Write efficient, high-quality, well-tested code and help maintain a strong testing culture.
  • Participate in production support and on-call rotation, including troubleshooting and mitigating incidents.
  • Break down large projects into smaller tasks and estimate multi-person efforts.
  • Work across multiple product lines, including Trading, Custody, and API integrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other teams to help scale the organization.
  • Mentor and guide engineers while influencing architecture and product roadmap decisions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience building backend services.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and maintaining customer-facing APIs.
  • Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native microservices.
  • Strong commitment to automated testing and code quality.
  • Experience performing on-call support for production systems.
  • Ability to build services from scratch and support them over time.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and operating systems; a formal CS degree is not required.
  • Preferred: professional experience with C++ or Go.
  • Preferred: professional experience with Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: professional experience with front-end development, especially TypeScript/React.
  • Preferred: experience with system security concepts such as authentication, authorization, identity, and API keys.
  • Preferred: background in finance or cryptocurrency industries.
