Description

  • Lead strategy and implementation for derivatives trading initiatives and related infrastructure.
  • Build or help establish a crypto derivatives trading desk from the ground up.
  • Drive large-scale regulatory and infrastructure projects for the trading business.
  • Work across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology to deliver complex projects.
  • Own detailed analysis of derivatives reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply practical understanding of the full derivatives trade lifecycle and market microstructure to project decisions.
  • Maintain both strategic perspective and close attention to execution details.
  • Synthesize stakeholder input and communicate progress to move cross-functional work forward.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior trading or trading-adjacent role with deep focus on OTC derivatives such as IR Swaps, FX Forwards/Options, or Structured Products.
  • Experience building a crypto derivatives trading desk or leading trading-related infrastructure projects from the ground up.
  • Past experience leading large-scale regulatory or infrastructure projects for a trading business is strongly preferred.
  • Strong practical understanding of the full derivatives trade lifecycle, market microstructure, and trading desk operations.
  • Deep familiarity with derivatives legal frameworks, including ISDA and CSA, and the regulatory landscape for derivatives trading.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dive into details while keeping a strategic perspective.
  • Experience in both traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Financial Engineering or Mathematics is highly preferred.
  • Relevant FINRA registrations such as Series 7, 63, and 24 are a strong plus.
