Description

  • Lead the security architecture practice by defining how architecture reviews are run, what is reviewed, when reviews happen, who participates, and what standards apply.
  • Own reusable security patterns, including reference architectures, identity and authorization patterns, cryptography architecture, and AI guardrail designs.
  • Set and maintain security engineering principles and standards that guide how the platform is built.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews for high-risk platform and AI changes early in the development process.
  • Partner closely with platform engineering across the Hyperblock engine, Polaris engine, and AI products to ensure architecture matches the real system design.
  • Support compliance by design for enterprise and regulated customer environments.
  • Codify architecture decisions into policy-as-code and enforceable, version-controlled guardrails where appropriate.
  • Hire, coach, calibrate, and mentor the security architecture team while maintaining a consistent technical bar.

Requirements

  • Track record building or leading security architecture in a SaaS or cloud-first environment across multiple teams.
  • Deep architecture expertise in identity and authorization, cryptography, secure-by-design practices, and threat modeling at scale.
  • Hands-on technical depth to evaluate and challenge weak designs credibly.
  • People leadership experience including hiring, coaching, calibrating a senior team, and making performance decisions.
  • Experience aligning architecture to enterprise and regulated environments.
  • Clear understanding of how AI changes the security architecture surface, including identity, authorization, supply-chain integrity, and guardrails.
  • Working familiarity with AI security standards and references such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, MITRE ATLAS, or the OWASP LLM Top 10 (nice to have).
  • Hands-on experience with policy-as-code and turning standards into enforced controls (nice to have).
  • Contributions to security standards, frameworks, or industry practice (nice to have).
