Description

  • Lead the security architecture practice and define how architecture review works across the company.
  • Own reusable security patterns, including reference architectures, identity and authorisation patterns, cryptography standards, and AI guardrails.
  • Set and maintain security engineering principles that are clear and practical for engineers to follow.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews for high-risk platform and AI changes early in the development process.
  • Partner with platform engineering on the Hyperblock and Polaris engines and AI product lines to ensure architecture reflects the platform's real implementation.
  • Ensure security architecture supports enterprise and regulated customer environments.
  • Translate architecture decisions into policy-as-code and enforceable, version-controlled guardrails where appropriate.
  • Hire, coach, calibrate, and mentor the security architecture team while maintaining a high technical bar.

Requirements

  • Track record building or leading security architecture in a SaaS or cloud-first environment across multiple teams.
  • Deep expertise in identity and authorisation, cryptography, secure-by-design principles, and threat modelling at scale.
  • Hands-on technical depth to evaluate and challenge weak designs credibly.
  • People leadership experience including hiring, coaching, calibrating, and managing performance for a senior team.
  • Experience aligning architecture to enterprise and regulated environments.
  • Clear understanding of how AI changes the security architecture surface, including identity, authorisation, supply-chain integrity, and guardrails.
  • Working familiarity with AI security standards and frameworks such as the NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, MITRE ATLAS, or the OWASP LLM Top 10 (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with policy-as-code and turning standards into enforced controls (preferred).
  • Contributions to security standards, frameworks, or industry practice (preferred).
