Description

  • Deploy, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize network infrastructure.
  • Design and implement network requirements in collaboration with senior engineers and architecture teams.
  • Work with external vendors and partners to support ongoing network improvements.
  • Contribute to network automation initiatives by building scalable and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support the stability and availability of critical infrastructure.
  • Support network installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in collaboration with onsite engineers when needed.
  • Monitor and help maintain cloud and data center networking components across private and public cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a network engineering role, ideally in a large-scale enterprise or cloud service provider environment.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalling.
  • Experience with modern data center topologies such as spine-and-leaf and overlay networks.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols and concepts including Ethernet, IP v4/v6, TCP, UDP, DNS, IPsec, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, and HTTPS.
  • Good proficiency in network security and experience with NGFW firewalls.
  • Good understanding of public cloud networking concepts such as Direct Connect, transit gateway, VPCs, and gateways.
  • Strong Grafana experience, including custom metric exporters, dashboard design, alerting configuration as code, and deployment via Terraform.
  • Experience with VPN technologies and network virtualisation such as VRFs and VXLAN.
  • Ability to analyze network performance and application issues using standard diagnostics tools.
  • Experience working remotely while collaborating closely with onsite engineers.
  • Experience using and integrating DCIM and IPAM tools such as Device42 and Infoblox with automation frameworks (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of data center networking technologies such as MLAG and stacking (nice to have).
  • Experience with Google Cloud and Azure (nice to have).
  • CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP-DC, Arista ACE:L3, or a similar certification (nice to have).
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems (nice to have).
  • Skills in Python or shell scripting and familiarity with CI/CD practices (nice to have).
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code / Software concepts (nice to have).
