Description

  • Lead and support the design, collection, and analysis of survey data for health program evaluations and related projects.
  • Develop survey instruments, including questionnaires and test items.
  • Develop and evaluate sampling frames, select samples using complex designs, and construct study weights.
  • Process, clean, and analyze data, including producing point and variance estimates.
  • Assess opportunities to supplement, improve, or replace survey data with administrative or other extant data.
  • Review data collection and data processing plans for accuracy, completeness, and technical soundness.
  • Author technical reports, memoranda, documentation, and statistical reports.
  • Communicate methods, findings, implications, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with a Project Manager and communicate timelines, scope, and resources to clients.
  • Supervise and mentor research staff, contribute to proposal development, and support QA/QC and disclosure risk analyses.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in survey methodology, economics, psychology, sociology, statistics, computer science, public policy, public health, or a related social science field.
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of survey methodology and survey operations, including questionnaire design, cognitive interviews, survey administration, weighting, non-response bias, and data analysis.
  • Experience with clinical quality measure development.
  • Experience with statistical software such as Stata, SAS, WPS, R, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics, including cross-tabulations, t-tests, and chi-square tests.
  • Experience leading projects.
  • Experience leading, developing, and writing proposals for federal agencies.
  • Direct experience with CMS is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship, including H-1B, is not available.
  • Depending on project work, qualified candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements.

  • Annual salary range of $155,000 to $190,000 USD.
