Description

  • Prepare and negotiate a range of agreements and complex contract documentation, including NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, task orders, purchase orders, data use and sharing agreements, grants, cooperative agreements, and master agreements.
  • Analyze solicitation and award terms to assess risk, ensure compliance, and communicate obligations to internal teams.
  • Coordinate award acceptance, setup, modification, and ongoing maintenance while maintaining data accuracy and adherence to AIR standards.
  • Serve as the primary contracts and grants contact for assigned projects, providing administration support, issue resolution, and guidance on award terms.
  • Monitor compliance with federal regulations, client requirements, and internal controls, including FAR and Uniform Guidance.
  • Collaborate with Program Finance and other departments to support audits, financial reporting, compliance, and award monitoring.
  • Advise staff and leadership on best practices, risks, compliance issues, and industry trends related to contracts and grants.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients to support effective award administration.
  • Track key organizational rights and obligations, including data rights, intellectual property, liability, and indemnification.
  • Support business process development, training, guidance, and process improvement efforts to strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or other relevant certifications.
  • At least 5 years of work experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressively complex and relevant contracts work experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of federal and client contracting regulations and policies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage remote and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while prioritizing objectives and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and clearly articulate complex business concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making is preferred.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
  • No employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is available.
  • Depending on project work, candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $101,300 to $130,000 USD.
  • Flexible work arrangement with fully remote options within the United States or hybrid work from Crystal City, VA or Chicago, IL.
  • Occasional travel is required for meetings and training sessions.
