Description

  • Lead the Centre for Ethical Leadership and oversee its initial growth and day-to-day operations.
  • Teach accredited courses in a primary discipline such as Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Trade.
  • Integrate integrity, accountability, and anti-corruption principles into EMBA and undergraduate curriculum.
  • Develop practical teaching modules and learning experiences for EMBA and undergraduate students.
  • Produce evidence-based guides, case studies, and thought leadership on ethical behavior in African commercial contexts.
  • Build relationships with businesses and industry bodies to promote transparent and accountable practices.
  • Serve as a senior academic leader and qualifying terminal-degree holder for accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise the Senior Manager, Public Sector, and manage lean centre operations.
  • Act as a bridge between academia and the private sector to support adoption of ethical frameworks.
  • Demonstrate applied ethical leadership through prior professional experience or research.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Trade, or a closely related field.
  • 10+ years of significant experience in senior leadership, consulting, or high-level academia in the relevant discipline.
  • Clear evidence of leadership in ethical initiatives, such as ethics committees, corporate governance reforms, or published work on integrity in commerce.
  • Ability to teach foundational commercial concepts to undergraduates and facilitate executive-level ethical strategy sessions for EMBA learners.
  • Experience applying ethical principles to solve complex commercial challenges.
  • Experience producing research, guides, or case studies relevant to business ethics or governance in the African context.
  • Ability to meet university accreditation and regional regulatory requirements as a terminal-degree holder.
