Description

  • Provide daily oversight of the online module by answering questions, posting announcements, and moderating asynchronous discussions.
  • Conduct weekly live cohort sessions to guide discussion and connect module themes to students’ missions.
  • Grade formative assignments promptly using provided rubrics and deliver meaningful feedback.
  • Grade summative assignments by the deadline for each trimester.
  • Offer optional drop-in office hours at least every other week.
  • Follow ALU’s module design, facilitation guide, accreditation guidelines, and policies.
  • Prepare and share additional resources and insights from personal experience to enrich student learning.
  • Maintain awareness of cohort size and support effective facilitation for sections of up to 45 students.
  • Adhere to ALU’s safeguarding policy and help ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, visitors, and vulnerable adults.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education, executive education, and/or related sectors.
  • Credible educational and experiential knowledge in the subject areas relevant to the assigned modules.
  • Experience with online learning as either a student or facilitator.
  • Exceptional English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work independently.
  • African-centered knowledge and experience.
  • Remote location/remote work arrangement.
