Description

  • Understand platform and program application needs and provide optimized electrical architecture and power distribution solutions using the existing archetype portfolio.
  • Identify platform or program needs not covered by the archetype portfolio and propose alternative solutions.
  • Work with Vehicle Architecture, Power Distribution, and Wiring teams to understand integration constraints and optimize architecture deployment.
  • Obtain platform and program delivery timing from the architecture project chief and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables with robust change management.
  • Create specific topologies for platform and program applications.
  • Collaborate with the Schematics Design team to develop mechanizations (SDPs) for the application.
  • Support platform and program meetings and discussions involving architecture or power distribution.
  • Provide SDPs and generate applicable core architecture and infrastructure requirements for component sourcing when platform-specific.
  • Create specific topologies and schematics for mules.
  • Support the Energy Management Team in collecting current consumption data for IOD and energy consumption calculations and simulations.
  • Identify unique vehicle power distribution configurations and work with Power Distribution to modify fuse sizes accordingly.
  • Provide impact analysis and technical feasibility assessments for platform or program investigate bulletins.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of industry experience in EE Architecture design or Electrical Engineering architecture roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience defining and designing embedded networked computer systems, including system topologies, components, and interfaces.
  • Experience with network communication design using CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
  • Understanding of typical vehicle EE architectures and automotive development processes.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset.
  • Fluency in English is required; any other European language is an advantage.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Ethernet-based communication protocols such as AVB, TSN, SOME/IP, TCP/UDP, and MQTT (preferred).
  • Knowledge of off-board communication protocols such as WiFi, 4G/5G, and V2X connectivity (preferred).
  • Experience designing EE platforms or components for Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (preferred).
  • Experience using networking tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and PREEvision (preferred).
  • AUTOSAR process and tools know-how with application experience (preferred).
  • Excellent, clear, and detail-oriented written and verbal communication on highly complex topics (preferred).
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of hire.
