Description

  • Write, review, test, and ship production-quality software while guiding developers through code reviews, mentoring, and technical standards.
  • Design, build, and maintain learning management system integrations, including SSO, APIs, learning content standards, and related data flows.
  • Implement reusable platform features and state-specific configurations within a shared multi-client environment.
  • Partner with product and platform leaders on architecture, implementation decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Lead practices for branching, releases, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, performance, security, and accessibility.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and help manage sprint commitments, team capacity, backlog readiness, and delivery goals.
  • Integrate identity and access solutions using Auth0, OIDC, SAML, or similar technologies.
  • Use and help establish responsible standards for AI-assisted development tools.
  • Communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Document technical decisions and contribute to estimates, solutioning, build-versus-buy decisions, and future platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience with significant recent hands-on coding.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining production web applications with modern technologies and frameworks.
  • Hands-on PHP experience and ability to work across multiple technologies and languages.
  • Strong experience building, extending, or integrating learning management systems, including APIs, SSO, learning content standards, and data flows.
  • Experience technically leading developers while contributing directly to the codebase.
  • Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, and identity technologies such as OIDC or SAML.
  • Experience working in multi-tenant, multi-client, or shared-platform environments.
  • Experience with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, and Agile or Scrum delivery.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, LLM automation, or agentic workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Moodle, Drupal, AI/LLM production integrations, analytics, public-sector or healthcare technology, LTSS/HCBS, or state-agency experience preferred.
  • Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification preferred.
