Description

  • Own the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of revenue-generating commercial contracts for the sales organization.
  • Partner with Sales, Information Security, Product, Content, and other business teams on contract matters and negotiations.
  • Provide legal and strategic business advice to help agreements align with internal playbooks, policies, and processes.
  • Help create and improve contracting playbooks to establish company parameters and scale the legal function.
  • Stay current on changes in laws, regulations, and industry guidance affecting commercial agreements.
  • Support the company’s deal cycle by devising creative solutions that protect AlphaSense’s interests and help close transactions.

Requirements

  • J.D. from a top law school.
  • Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial software and technology subscription agreements.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of commercial contracts, including Master Services Agreements, SOWs, Order Forms, DPAs, and AI Addenda.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to support firm positions in a patient manner.
  • Business-friendly, pragmatic mindset with a balanced approach to legal risk.
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder who can work directly with stakeholders on the front line of negotiations.
  • Law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
  • Experience at a technology company, or with AI, data privacy, information security, intellectual property, or financial services is a plus.
  • Must be able to work Eastern Time hours; remote work in the USA is available with a preference for the Eastern Time zone.

  • Base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 USD.
