Description

  • Design sampling frames, questionnaires, and fielding plans for public-sector surveys.
  • Advise on web, mail, phone, and intercept data-collection strategies and response-rate improvements.
  • Analyze survey data using appropriate weighting and uncertainty methods.
  • Prepare clear findings reports for non-technical audiences.
  • Support stakeholder engagement research for service design and policy development.
  • Present research findings to boards, councils, and agency leadership.
  • Contribute survey and community-research content to AlphaGov proposals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in survey methodology, public opinion research, or community/stakeholder research.
  • Experience in government, a university survey center, or public-sector consulting.
  • Senior or lead role on at least two completed public-sector or community surveys, with project details available.
  • Strong questionnaire design and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Clear writing and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.
  • AAPOR or similar survey credentials preferred.
  • Experience researching hard-to-reach or multilingual populations preferred.
  • Mixed-methods experience, including surveys and focus groups or interviews, preferred.
  • Experience with transit rider, utility customer, or school-community surveys preferred.
