Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable SQL and dbt data models for financial reporting and near-real-time operational metrics.
  • Establish standards for data modeling, development, testing, monitoring, and data discoverability.
  • Partner with finance, operations, customer success, marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.
  • Develop repeatable integrations between data models, BI tools, and reverse ETL systems.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, scalability, and cent-level reporting precision.
  • Manage change control, source control, code reviews, and monitoring as data products evolve.
  • Identify and implement improvements to data warehouse performance and ETL efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering, with a strong focus on ELT transformation.
  • Experience owning data products end to end and applying data engineering and analytics best practices.
  • Expert-level SQL and dbt skills for complex queries and transformations.
  • Proficiency in Python for transformations beyond SQL.
  • Experience optimizing queries across OLTP and OLAP systems, such as Postgres and Iceberg.
  • Proficiency with semantic-layer modeling, such as Cube or the dbt Semantic Layer.
  • Experience owning CI/CD workflows and establishing version-control and code-review standards using tools such as Git.
  • Familiarity with GCP or AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience working independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Experience with Airbyte or Airflow, and brokerage operations or financial data modeling, is preferred.
