Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain full-stack systems and services that support Alpaca’s trading platform.
  • Build and improve frontend trading dashboards and backend product systems for Trading API customers.
  • Own the delivery of high-visibility features and projects from design through deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with users and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into product features.
  • Contribute to API design and product feature development across Alpaca’s ecosystem.
  • Lead the architecture and development of software solutions across the full stack.
  • Work deeply with backend financial systems including payments, trading, market data, and accounts.
  • Mentor peers and help influence the company’s technical strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with Golang and TypeScript/React.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern systems programming language such as Golang or C#.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with REST APIs and API best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to collect stakeholder requirements and translate them into fully realized features.
  • Passion for creating intuitive, high-performance user interfaces.
  • Attention to detail and an appreciation for design aesthetics.
  • Algo trading experience, either professional or personal, is preferred.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms, especially GCP, is preferred.
  • Experience or understanding of financial markets is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Startup experience is preferred.
  • Remote work experience is preferred.
