Description

  • Chair the internal Compliance Committee and deliver quarterly reports to the Board.
  • Maintain a live register of FSRA rules and update policies within 10 days of any FSRA circular.
  • Own the AML/CFT programme, conduct annual business-risk assessments, and file Suspicious Activity Reports.
  • Ensure full Travel Rule compliance for virtual asset transfers.
  • Maintain the accepted virtual asset list and oversee blockchain analytics and stablecoin/FRT controls.
  • Run a risk-based monitoring plan, complete thematic reviews, and track remediation through closure.
  • Specify and integrate KYC/AML, sanctions screening, Travel-Rule messaging, and trade-surveillance tools.
  • File periodic and ad-hoc FSRA returns and serve as the main contact for onsite reviews and enforcement queries.
  • Deliver annual AML and rules training and keep staff CPD logs current for 6 years.
  • Maintain the breach register, notify FSRA within required timelines, and oversee incident remediation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or Business plus a recognized compliance credential such as ICA, ACAMS, or CISI Global Financial Compliance.
  • UAE Financial Rules & Regulations exam (CISI/ADGM Academy).
  • CISI Global Financial Compliance certification or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of compliance/AML experience at a broker-dealer, custodian, or VASP.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior regulated capacity.
  • Clean audit and enforcement record.
  • Deep knowledge of the FSRA rulebook, including GEN, COBS, PRU, AML rules, Travel Rule requirements, and Virtual-Asset Guidance.
  • Ability to work full-time as an independent function as required by Condition 7.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Prior registration as Compliance Officer/MLRO with FSRA, DFSA, SCA, or an equivalent top-tier regulator is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with chain analytics, FATF Travel-Rule gateways, and ISO 27001 or NIST cybersecurity frameworks is preferred.
  • Exposure to cross-border brokerage, stablecoin/FRT programs, or tokenized securities is preferred.
