Description

  • Monitor and surveil customer activity on a daily basis.
  • Own daily operational tasks for trading, new accounts, and cash management.
  • Handle cryptocurrency trading executions and related exceptions such as errors and corrections.
  • Support customer onboarding, including KYC review and account approval.
  • Review general ledger accounts and reconcile account discrepancies.
  • Support the Anti-Money Laundering program and related suspicious activity investigations.
  • Proactively improve workflows, policies, and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment.
  • Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities.
  • Interest in Alpaca’s mission and supporting its customer base and platform growth.
  • Startup mindset for a fast-paced, high-growth environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with or interest in FinTech, financial markets, cryptocurrencies, or investing applications (preferred).
