Description

  • Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory, retailers, and competitors to drive sales and returns to good causes.
  • Support the Annual Business Plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network.
  • Deliver retail sales objectives and review performance against agreed measures, working across territories or divisions where required.
  • Own territory management plans and prepare store visits within the assigned area.
  • Drive high in-store standards and communicate key messages to retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to support in-store execution and advocacy for The National Lottery.
  • Ensure retailers comply with player protection requirements through the Retail Training Centre.
  • Deliver effective training to retailers and people at all levels.
  • Use retail insight and data analysis to identify opportunities and provide customer insight.
  • Support personal development through the company’s learning and development programme.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience or customer service experience, with field experience desirable but not essential.
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence and strong communication skills for speaking with retailers in a consultative manner.
  • Experience in face-to-face consultative selling.
  • Ability to use IT packages and work flexibly across different systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and turn it into customer insight.
  • Ability to deliver effective training to people at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel across your territory and wider regions when required.
  • New ideas and a proactive mindset are desirable.
