Description

  • Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory, retailers, and competitors to support sales growth and returns to good causes.
  • Support the annual business plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network.
  • Deliver retail KPIs through ownership of territory management plans and preparation for store visits.
  • Proactively improve in-store standards and ensure key messages are delivered consistently.
  • Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to drive in-store execution and retailer advocacy for The National Lottery.
  • Agree retailer commitment to comply with player protection requirements through the Retail Training Centre (RTC).
  • Work cross-territory and cross-divisionally where required to support Retail Sales Team objectives.
  • Use retail insight and new ways of working to improve performance across the territory.
  • Deliver effective training to people at all levels within the retailer network.
  • Own personal development through the development plan and learning and development programme.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience or customer service experience, with field-based experience desirable but not essential.
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence and strong communication skills when speaking with retailers.
  • Experience in face-to-face consultative selling.
  • Ability to build strong relationships through a consultative approach.
  • Ability to use IT packages flexibly across different systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insight to customers.
  • Ability to deliver effective training to people at all levels.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the territory and wider regions when required.
  • New ideas and a proactive mindset are valued.
