Description

  • Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory, retailers, and competitors to drive sales and returns to good causes.
  • Support the Annual Business Plan by delivering key messages and marketing updates to the retail network.
  • Work toward Retail Sales Team objectives and review progress against agreed measures, collaborating across territories and divisions when needed.
  • Own territory management plans and prepare for store visits within the assigned territory.
  • Deliver Retail Key Performance Indicators through proactive territory management.
  • Drive high in-store standards and communicate key messages to retailers.
  • Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to improve in-store execution and retailer advocacy of The National Lottery.
  • Ensure retailers comply with player protection requirements through the Retail Training Centre (RTC).
  • Deliver effective training to people at different levels as needed.
  • Take ownership of personal development through the Personal Development Plan and Learning and Development programme.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience or customer service experience, with field-based experience desirable but not essential.
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen.
  • Confidence and strong communication skills when speaking with retailers.
  • Experience in face-to-face consultative selling.
  • Ability to use IT packages and work flexibly across them.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insight to customers.
  • Ability to deliver effective training to people at all levels.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the assigned territory and wider regions when required.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to bring new ideas to the table.
