Description

  • Lead vendor search and selection activities, including identifying new vendors and tracking market trends in clinical research and medical imaging services.
  • Manage new and existing vendor relationships from onboarding through closeout, including integration into the vendor portfolio.
  • Define contractual requirements, performance expectations, timelines, budgets, and risk management activities for new vendors.
  • Document and ensure implementation of standard vendor processes, key performance measures, and service-level agreement requirements.
  • Support assigned Vendor Leads and, when needed, serve as the Vendor Lead and primary day-to-day vendor contact.
  • Collaborate with QA on vendor assessments, audits, CAPA management, and vendor risk mitigation plans.
  • Work with Business Development to solicit bids and define vendor costing for proposals, and partner with Contracts and Legal on specifications and Master Service Agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance, manage issues and escalations, and ensure effective resolution of vendor problems.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change management efforts to improve vendor activities and minimize disruption to service levels.
  • Provide regular vendor management reports, training, and support to internal stakeholders and Vendor Leads.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma.
  • 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Direct vendor management or project management experience in a CRO, biotech, or pharma organization preferred.
  • Clinical trial experience preferred.
  • Experience overseeing vendor performance and risk management scenarios preferred.
  • Financial and contractual management of vendors preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving positive results.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and self-development.
