Description

  • Lead the refactoring and optimization of existing data pipelines.
  • Develop next-generation distributed data storage and processing systems.
  • Design clean interfaces that simplify access to complex data for multiple consumers.
  • Identify and develop scalable and performant technical solutions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to shape product strategy and execution.
  • Build and improve code architecture and engineering quality foundations.
  • Mentor and coach engineers.
  • Set and uphold engineering process standards that support high-quality delivery.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and performance optimization efforts.

Requirements

  • BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of production engineering experience building highly scalable systems.
  • 4+ years as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table data sets.
  • Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go.
  • Preferred: 8+ years building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Experience designing and orchestrating ETL/ELT and ingestion systems for real-time and batch processing.
  • Preferred: Experience with data warehouses and analytics tools such as Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, SQL, Python, or Databricks.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, or in-memory computing.
  • Preferred: Deep knowledge of database replication, sharding, partitioning, indexing, and caching.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance principles.
  • Preferred: Experience with infrastructure monitoring and architecture reviews.
