Description

  • Lead efforts with teams across Aledade to identify and clarify strategic and tactical questions for data analysis and experiments.
  • Design and execute descriptive, predictive, and causal inference analyses for large-scale projects and complex business questions.
  • Design and program code to integrate, evaluate, and analyze diverse data sources including claims, EHR, event notification, and patient-reported data.
  • Perform data analysis and statistical modeling to generate actionable insights and solutions.
  • Supervise junior colleagues in programming and model implementation for small-scale projects.
  • Synthesize results from complex analyses and translate findings into action across teams.
  • Develop and present analytic products that clearly communicate insights and drive action.
  • Work closely with engineering and product partners to enable analytic solutions.
  • Guide intervention strategy and development by evaluating the impact of population health interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; an advanced degree may substitute for some experience.
  • Master’s or PhD in health services research, mathematics/statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, econometrics, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong quantitative analysis ability grounded in econometrics, health services research, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with causal inference methods, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs such as randomized trials, regression discontinuity, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, and matched designs.
  • Experience with SQL for data manipulation and R, Python, or Stata for statistical programming.
  • Experience with healthcare data sources such as claims, electronic health records, event notification, clinical, and patient-reported data, and working in a complex enterprise data warehouse.
  • Knowledge of standard methods for measuring healthcare utilization, spending, quality, and related outcomes.
  • Experience navigating complex and messy data environments.
  • Ability to manage research projects through the full lifecycle, from design through implementation, documentation, and presentation of findings.
  • Experience using AI tools for programming and project management, plus strong attention to detail with Git, quality assurance, documentation, and repeatable processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams to deliver data and actionable insights to clients and vendors (preferred).
  • Well-versed in equity and inclusion concepts, including health disparities, social drivers of health, and implicit bias (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate nuanced analyses clearly through data visualizations, presentations, and reports.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and to work with empathy and respect.
