Description

  • Build, test, and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Develop automated deployments using configuration management tools and release modules, upgrades, and fixes to test and production environments.
  • Contribute to custom test automation frameworks and maintain automation scripts.
  • Set up and maintain environments for manual and automated testing.
  • Support production incidents through investigation and resolution.
  • Perform routine application maintenance and update scripts as requirements change.
  • Conduct gap analysis and help define feasible solution options and modification scope.
  • Participate in contingency planning, including backup and restore procedures.
  • Document module changes, functions, and test activities/results.
  • Mentor and guide team members while helping drive delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of working experience in a DevOps capacity.
  • UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance required, or eligibility to apply with at least 5 years living and working in the UK.
  • Commercial experience deploying and operating infrastructure and applications on AWS and other cloud environments.
  • Experience working with open-source and commercial software in a cloud-centric environment.
  • Server build and administration experience across Linux and Windows.
  • Experience using GitHub or GitLab for source control and code reviews.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with cloud orchestration and containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Knowledge of large-scale databases and distributed technologies such as RDS and Kafka.
  • Ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Bash/Shell or Python.
  • Experience mentoring and leading others and taking point on key decisions.
