Description

  • Monitor security events, investigate alerts, and support incident detection, response, and post-incident analysis.
  • Assess and improve security posture across cloud infrastructure, internal systems, and compliance programs.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Administer identity and access controls, including SSO, MFA, RBAC, and periodic access reviews.
  • Validate security controls and support security operations across regulated environments.
  • Support compliance activities for HIPAA, SOC 2, and similar frameworks, including evidence collection and control documentation.
  • Prepare for audits and assist with compliance reporting and documentation.
  • Use AI tools to analyze logs, automate reporting, and accelerate daily security workflows.
  • Work autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment.
  • Support vendor security assessments and data processing reviews when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in information security, security operations, monitoring and detection, incident response, vulnerability management, IT security, access management, or compliance support.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP and/or Azure.
  • Working knowledge of IAM, encryption, network security, and endpoint protection.
  • Experience administering SSO, MFA, RBAC, and conducting periodic access reviews.
  • Ability to monitor security events, investigate alerts, and support incident response and post-incident analysis.
  • Experience conducting or supporting vulnerability assessments and remediation coordination.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks, including evidence collection and control documentation.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in daily work.
  • Preferred: CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience with SIEM or security monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Chronicle, or similar.
  • Preferred: Scripting ability for automation using Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Preferred: Background in vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, or threat analysis.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting vendor security assessments and data processing reviews.
  • Preferred: Experience managing or configuring endpoint protection and device security tools.
  • Preferred: Background in healthcare, financial services, or other regulated environments.
  • Preferred: Experience with security awareness training or internal security education programs.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with GDPR or other regional data protection regulations.

Benefits

  • Base salary of approximately $25,000–$32,000 USD per year, calibrated for target regions.
  • Performance bonus opportunity of up to 100% of base salary.
  • Total compensation is based on experience, location, and performance during the hiring process.
