Description

  • Hire, coach, and develop a remote team of analysts, threat hunters, and detection engineers.
  • Lead hands-on threat hunting, intelligence production, and detection development.
  • Define intelligence requirements and manage the full intelligence lifecycle.
  • Produce strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences.
  • Track financially motivated groups, payment fraud operations, ransomware crews, and threats targeting retail and hospitality.
  • Own SIEM and EDR/XDR detection strategy, including development, testing, tuning, and MITRE ATT&CK coverage.
  • Run hypothesis-driven hunts across customer environments and convert findings into detections.
  • Use automation and AI to improve enrichment, triage, and reporting workflows.
  • Provide intelligence support during major incidents and complex escalations.
  • Brief customers, partner with SOC and security leaders, and manage performance metrics and service planning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident response, detection engineering, or security operations.
  • 3+ years managing technical security teams, including hiring and employee development.
  • Deep knowledge of adversary tactics, MITRE ATT&CK, the intelligence lifecycle, and the Diamond Model.
  • Experience producing finished intelligence for technical and executive audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as FortiSIEM, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google Chronicle, or ArcSight.
  • Experience with EDR/XDR platforms and query languages such as KQL or SPL.
  • Experience supporting complex investigations and incident response.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including translating technical findings into business risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: MSSP/MDR, retail, hospitality, payments, POS, PCI DSS, detection-as-code, Sigma, SOAR, Python, MISP, Recorded Future, cloud investigations, intelligence-sharing, or relevant certifications such as GCTI, GCFA, GCIH, GREM, or CISSP.
