Description

  • Own and steward Airbnb's brand health tracking program, including the measurement framework and ongoing trend monitoring.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership as the primary expert on consumer voice and audience understanding.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects across focus groups, interviews, ethnographies, online communities, and surveys.
  • Balance in-house research execution with vendor-managed research projects.
  • Coach and support a direct report responsible for Airbnb's media measurement program.
  • Translate media investment and campaign data into implications for consumer perception and brand strategy.
  • Prepare and present research findings in concise, visually compelling formats for senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Consumer, Product, Innovation, and Research leadership to synthesize insights and identify gaps or opportunities.
  • Ensure consumer insights are embedded early in briefs, strategies, and marketing priorities.
  • Influence brand equity trends and audience engagement through actionable insights.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of consumer insights experience, with significant experience in a marketing insights context.
  • Deep expertise in brand health tracking and brand measurement frameworks covering equity, perception, and positioning metrics.
  • Strong experience in audience research and segmentation to build actionable consumer portraits.
  • Familiarity with media measurement approaches and linking campaign performance to brand perception and consumer sentiment.
  • Expertise across a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytic techniques and emerging tools, including AI-powered research methods.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills for presenting complex consumer data to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing individuals.
  • Degree in research, marketing, or social sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive experience.
  • Experience supporting brand strategy, audience understanding, or marketing effectiveness (preferred context).

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $212,000 to $262,000 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus.
