Description

  • Perform day-to-day accounts payable and payout operations in a high-volume environment.
  • Execute and review month-end close activities for AP-related accounts, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve complex issues.
  • Monitor accounting and IT systems to maintain creditors, GL accounts, and booking system interdependencies.
  • Support transaction processing, including review and approval of more complex transactions.
  • Drive or support process improvements, automation, projects, and quality initiatives within the P2P area.
  • Ensure processes and documentation comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting policies.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance and non-Finance teams to resolve issues and support operations.
  • Handle payment-related queries from internal and external stakeholders with a service mindset.
  • Support team goals, documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-training within the P2P area.
  • Track central bank and payment-related regulations and support operational changes as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in a multinational company is required.
  • Experience in the travel or e-commerce industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes, month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with internal controls and compliance frameworks such as SOX.
  • Understanding of segregation of duties and control design in AP processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP system, with Oracle preferred.
  • Experience with other large-scale ERPs such as SAP is also valuable.
  • Experience in AP or payout operations within an online travel agency, e-commerce, or other digital business is preferred.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, ERP implementations, or robotic process automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payment and banking platforms, virtual cards, or alternative payout methods is preferred.
