Description

  • Own engineering strategy, outcomes, and execution for Astra, Agents, the Contract Intelligence Graph, and supporting cloud-native services.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define portfolio strategy, roadmaps, sequencing, and investment priorities using customer feedback and adoption data.
  • Define and deliver a converged platform architecture for shared data models, database services, IAM, AI capabilities, APIs, user interfaces, and MCP servers.
  • Establish service boundaries, ownership models, interface standards, and product-specific extension patterns across Contract Intelligence and Core CLM.
  • Guide secure, tenant-aware, scalable, observable, versioned, and backward-compatible APIs, integrations, and AI orchestration workflows.
  • Partner with Applied AI and Knowledge Engineering to productionize AI Agents and Assistants and evaluate quality, privacy, permissions, latency, cost, and operational behavior.
  • Own the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, releases, post-release stabilization, and cross-team dependency management.
  • Set operational metrics and lead incident root-cause analysis and remediation for reliability, performance, and Level 3 escalations.
  • Lead managers and technical leaders, develop engineering talent, and build an accountable, collaborative culture across distributed teams.
  • Contribute hands-on to code, code reviews, and architecture decisions while communicating technical tradeoffs and risks to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multi-team engineering organizations with managers and senior technical leaders.
  • Experience owning engineering outcomes for a substantial product portfolio, platform, or technical domain, measured by customer adoption, usage, and business value.
  • Deep experience with cloud-based SaaS systems, distributed services, APIs, enterprise integrations, and user-facing applications.
  • Experience building shared components used across products or services, including data models, database services, IAM, interfaces, and ownership boundaries.
  • Hands-on experience with production AI/LLM capabilities, Agents, and AI Assistants, including quality, privacy, reliability, and cost evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of delivery predictability, service reliability and SLOs, defect trends, performance, and operational health.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Design to translate customer priorities into engineering roadmaps and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Ability to communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience setting responsible-AI guardrails for accuracy, privacy, security, permissions, transparency, and human oversight; experience with MCP, knowledge graphs, CLM, legal technology, workflow automation, or compliance-driven enterprise SaaS is preferred.
