Description

  • Develop strategies to monitor and prevent fraud across the network in alignment with risk management goals.
  • Use advanced data analytics to identify loss drivers, generate insights, and optimize fraud management strategies.
  • Report fraud trends and loss drivers to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Respond quickly to fraud rings and ensure issues raised by other teams are resolved promptly.
  • Partner with operations to limit losses and maintain optimal review volumes.
  • Evaluate and help develop new external or internal features and signals to improve fraud detection capabilities.
  • Support team planning, goal setting, coaching, and mentorship of junior team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, and Operations on fraud detection and decisioning systems.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in fraud management or a related field, with prior emphasis on analytics.
  • Strong product understanding and interest in improving how the product works.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay responsive during periods of peak fraud activity.
  • Availability to work later starts several days a week to increase overlap with US-based colleagues.
  • Extensive experience writing and analyzing SQL queries.
  • Comfort using Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills with the ability to shift focus quickly in response to fraud pressure and tactics.
  • Working knowledge of payment processing fundamentals, industry risk trends, and risk strategy development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent in a quantitatively rigorous field such as engineering, statistics, math, finance, or economics is desired.
