Description

  • Work closely with the product team to translate design decisions into executable criteria.
  • Design and implement high-performance, low-latency calculation engine code.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Champion correctness-first engineering practices and a quality-focused culture.
  • Contribute to the core runtime of a multidimensional calculation engine with dynamically compiled models.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend software development.
  • Deep expertise in Core Java, including threading, allocation, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
  • Experience writing low-latency Java applications.
  • Strong domain knowledge in database engines, compiler design, or investment bank front-office systems.
  • Experience designing languages.
  • Understanding of how the JVM works.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code.
  • Prior experience building planning software (preferred).
  • Background in database engines, low-latency front-office investment banking, or compilers (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of Spring (preferred).
  • Knowledge of multidimensional modeling (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Lambda Architecture (preferred).
