Description

  • Own the strategy for data collection, instrumentation, storage, analytics tools, and reporting.
  • Develop specifications and serve as the source of truth for instrumentation, tagging, and analytics implementation.
  • Source, evaluate, and select third-party analytics tools.
  • Develop insights and lead the ideation, evaluation, and implementation of A/B tests and other optimizations across acquisition, product, and communications channels.
  • Improve user activation, engagement, retention, and conversion metrics through experimentation and analysis.
  • Build dashboards and visualizations and communicate findings to company and board stakeholders.
  • Evangelize data-driven decision-making and drive organizational buy-in for analytics as a source of value.
  • Collaborate closely with business, product, design, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Lead development of the end-to-end infrastructure needed to support analytics and reporting.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience measuring and analyzing user funnels and behavior in a production environment.
  • Experience analyzing advertising, marketing, acquisition, engagement, or similar user data.
  • Strong fluency in technical analytics fundamentals, including tag management, A/B and multivariate testing, and basic statistical analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mobile.
  • Familiarity with current web and mobile reporting, measurement, and analytics tools, including app stores, Mixpanel, install attribution tools, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with a consumer subscription product, preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation programs and tools, preferred.
  • Ability to independently generate and communicate data-driven insights in a fast-moving, imperfect-information environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and communication skills.
  • 5+ years of experience and/or significant team leadership and production-scale experience.
