Description

  • Partner with the Principal to lead the school’s cultural, behavioral, and academic priorities.
  • Cultivate a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community.
  • Coach teachers and provide professional development on classroom management and instructional best practices.
  • Collaborate with staff and families to improve student behavior, attendance, engagement, and academic success.
  • Strengthen relationships with parents, families, and the broader community through regular communication and outreach.
  • Lead and support instructional program development by reviewing curriculum, pedagogy, lesson plans, and classroom observations.
  • Share responsibility for student achievement, including academic performance and social-emotional well-being.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental events and activities such as staff in-service days, parent-teacher conferences, extended learning opportunities, and summer programming.
  • Support Career and Technical Education and career development services, including partnerships with postsecondary institutions, business/industry, and community organizations.
  • Manage compliance, reporting, testing, policy updates, and other school-wide administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current valid Principal and Teacher license in the state of Washington.
  • Open to residents of Washington, with Washington residency preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in education or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in school administration or instructional leadership.
  • Advanced degree in education or educational leadership strongly preferred.
  • Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Knowledge of state academic content standards.
  • Experience in public education accountability, compliance, and related legal requirements.
  • Experience with innovative school designs and instructional models, including blended, inquiry-based, problem/project-based, and personalized learning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
