Description

  • Own and manage a defined long-term care territory and create business opportunities within it.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nursing facility staff, and leadership.
  • Promote Acadia products through compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
  • Identify and address customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced selling techniques.
  • Develop deep knowledge of customers, practices, and local market trends to inform business planning.
  • Create and execute quarterly territory business and action plans using data to maximize reach, frequency, and impact within budget.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and long-term care profitability and serve as a liaison on access-related questions.
  • Collaborate with sales management and cross-functional partners in managed markets, marketing, operations, and training.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training events.
  • Mentor and train new or junior Sales Specialists and contribute field insights to regional and national initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences preferred.
  • 1-2 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience required for Sales Specialist roles, with neuroscience preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare sales experience, including 2+ years in complex or account-based selling, for Senior Specialist roles.
  • 12+ years of healthcare sales experience, including 3+ years in complex or account-based selling, for Executive Specialist roles.
  • Advanced selling, negotiation, and influence skills with diverse healthcare professional audiences.
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and role-model capabilities at a regional level.
  • Strong business acumen, organization, self-motivation, and a business ownership mindset.
  • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border, and near a major airport if required.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to drive a company vehicle daily, and ability to travel independently by air.
  • Travel may be up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours work.
  • Must meet vaccination and facility access requirements for customer visits and event participation.
  • Knowledge of neuroscience, long-term care market dynamics, payer systems such as Part A and Part D, specialty distribution, and LTC regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement tools such as Zoom and WebEx.
