Description

  • Provide executive leadership for disaster response, debris management, and logistics operations across the division.
  • Establish operational policies, frameworks, and performance standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee senior project leaders and multiple teams to ensure quality delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement operational and business strategies that support delivery excellence and profitability.
  • Lead division-level meetings, represent the organization with clients and stakeholders, and guide communication strategies.
  • Direct business development efforts, including capture planning, proposal strategy, negotiations, and relationship management.
  • Oversee training and exercise programs aligned with company goals, contractual requirements, NIMS, ICS, and FEMA frameworks.
  • Lead compliance strategy for state and federal emergency management regulations and standards.
  • Support or co-lead relief efforts and disaster activations, including field deployment when needed.
  • Mentor senior staff and develop leadership, communication, decision-making, and professional growth across the division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public safety, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of the degree.
  • 10+ years of advanced emergency management experience, including response and debris management.
  • 5-7+ years of leadership experience managing complex disaster response projects, teams, programs, or debris operations.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of emergency management protocols, including state and local plans, agencies, and funding sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Master’s degree in emergency management or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Business development and proposal leadership experience preferred.
  • Industry-specific debris management certifications preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a background check upon offer of employment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Up to 75% travel is required, including extended deployments to client sites.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
