Description

  • Lead the build-out and evolution of Abnormal’s FedRAMP High cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud.
  • Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules, infrastructure patterns, and platform standards.
  • Drive architectural decisions across compute, networking, and service design.
  • Partner with FedRAMP, compliance, and engineering teams to reduce environment drift and close gaps between GovCloud and commercial environments.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, documentation, and incident readiness for GovCloud operations.
  • Mentor FedOps engineers and provide technical guidance on platform implementation quality.
  • Help define the charter and direction for the Federal Platform team.
  • Support adoption of AI-assisted workflows that improve delivery speed and onboarding.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience operating public cloud environments, with deep hands-on AWS expertise.
  • Strong production-grade Terraform experience, including building and debugging IaC modules from scratch.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads in production.
  • Experience working in or building toward compliance-constrained environments such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
  • Ability to read, adapt, and write Python, Go, or similar scripting languages for infrastructure automation.
  • Demonstrated AI-forward mindset with active use of AI in engineering workflows beyond a coding assistant.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for FedRAMP environment access.
  • Direct FedRAMP Moderate or High implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience building developer enablement infrastructure such as cloud code integration, local agent setup, or CI/CD pipelines preferred.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $179,800 to $258,500 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus or incentive compensation.
  • Eligible for equity.
