Description

  • Author architecture design documents, including data flows, sequence diagrams, and system architectures.
  • Assess current business and system capabilities and define technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with business, technical, project management, sales, and data engineering teams on client implementations.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate client requirements into product features and roadmap priorities.
  • Define long-term architecture visions and near-term solution needs for assigned components.
  • Mentor internal implementation teams and provide ongoing support for technical questions and issues.
  • Guide customers in adopting Abacus’ data management offerings and applying cloud architecture best practices.

Requirements

  • Expertise in U.S. healthcare data and systems, including medical and pharmacy claims, membership/enrollment, provider, and clinical data.
  • Domain expertise in CMS Interoperability Mandate 9115/0057, including mandated APIs and FHIR data structures.
  • Ability to define solution architecture visions through comprehensive design documentation.
  • Broad technical knowledge spanning infrastructure, data models, databases, service-oriented architecture, programming, frameworks, standards, and technical modeling.
  • Strong experience with one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake preferred.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations, industry trends, customer needs, and historical payer data architectures.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and working with payer or healthcare data organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of provider data formats and systems, including FHIR, X12, HL7 V2.3, and CCDA/CDA preferred.
  • Knowledge of utilization, care, or disease management preferred.
