Description

  • Own the architecture for the deterministic/AI boundary, multi-tenant isolation model, and LLM security posture.
  • Set baseline architectural decisions early and serve as the escalation point for ambiguous technical calls.
  • Translate client business, compliance, and product needs into architectural constraints and system requirements.
  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs and technology insertion decisions across the platform design.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery and security risks such as prompt injection exposure and cross-tenant isolation defects.
  • Define the technical vision and development strategy for the 7-stage pipeline and related product roadmap.
  • Review critical code paths and produce architectural decision records and other architecture artifacts.
  • Lead and mentor AI engineers and backend engineers on reliability, security, and multi-tenant design.
  • Partner with stakeholders to keep the team aligned on scope, technical standards, and delivery priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and async patterns, including FastAPI and async/await.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and multi-tenant database design, including RLS, row-level security, and schema isolation.
  • Experience with AWS cloud architecture, including Fargate, RDS, IAM, Secrets Manager, and Bedrock.
  • Experience with LLM system design, including prompt engineering, consistency guarantees, output validation, and prompt injection defense.
  • Experience with security architecture, including least-privilege access, encryption in transit, audit logging, and cross-tenant isolation.
  • Fluency in architectural patterns such as layered, event-driven, and pipeline designs, plus UML/C4 modeling and decision-record documentation.
  • Experience designing SaaS or highly scalable distributed applications in the cloud.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and communicating technical trade-offs to product and engineering stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in English for communicating with global teams, clients, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong critical reasoning and comfort making architectural decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification or an equivalent cloud-platform credential is preferred.
  • Experience with data pipelines and ETL is preferred.
  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
  • Experience designing multi-platform SaaS applications, including web and mobile, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, and HIPAA is preferred.
  • Financial acumen for ROI calculation, effort estimation, and cost-benefit analysis is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government is preferred.
  • A mentorship track record showing growth of other engineers through code review and knowledge-sharing is preferred.
