Description

  • Coach the team on Scrum and the Agile Manifesto and facilitate core Agile ceremonies in a hands-off style.
  • Build self-managing teams by creating a safe environment that supports learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to coach backlog ordering, Agile boundaries, and value creation.
  • Own Agile metrics, interpret data, and use insights to drive improvement and protect team flow.
  • Use evidence to challenge unrealistic delivery dates and escalate concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Manage stakeholders under executive scrutiny and ensure concerns are heard at the right level.
  • Support long-term team maturity and help other Scrum Masters across the organization.
  • Design and run workshops, mindset exercises, and team-building games for new and existing teams.

Requirements

  • Strong command of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto.
  • Experience operating at or close to an Agile coach level, not early-career.
  • This is a dedicated, non-hybrid Scrum Master role, not a combined role such as Scrum Master/Business Analyst.
  • Proven experience coaching and facilitating without authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile metrics and the ability to interpret data for improvement.
  • Fluency in scaling approaches such as scrum-of-scrums and the judgment to apply them appropriately as the organization grows.
  • Confidence managing stakeholders under scrutiny and escalating concerns effectively.
  • Experience designing and running workshops, mindset exercises, and games for teams.
  • Ability to read team health through behavior, tone, and human interaction.
  • A track record of helping teams shift from a cost-centre mindset to high-performing, mission-driven teams.
