Description

  • Review and maintain code in GitHub repositories.
  • Analyze each repository and create plans to document code, improve test coverage, and support long-term maintenance.
  • Increase AWS infrastructure test coverage from roughly 10% to 90% across repositories.
  • Lead the design and enhancement of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect and manage cloud environments with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Use Terraform and CDK scripting to support infrastructure configuration management.
  • Solve complex system performance issues and maintain reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide code reviews, pull request support, and source control best practices.
  • Track status, estimate testing and deployment efforts, and report progress clearly across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps with proficient Python coding skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience delivering systems to production, with emphasis on Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Deep expertise with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, networking, security, and database management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Services and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience writing and publishing reusable, tested modules or libraries for other teams.
  • Experience integrating security at design time and evaluating security measures regularly.
  • Experience performing code reviews and following Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
  • Experience designing and delivering multiple infrastructure systems with automation and central configuration management.
  • Experience with multiple database technologies, including authentication and connectivity; complex SQL queries desired.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and Test Driven Development.
  • Advanced certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, especially AWS, and Kubernetes are preferred.
  • Must be available on-call for non-business hours support.
  • Must have geographic flexibility to work mainly 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.
