Description

  • Review and maintain code across GitHub repositories.
  • Analyze each repository and create plans to improve documentation, test coverage, and long-term maintainability.
  • Increase AWS infrastructure test coverage from roughly 10% to 90% across the repositories.
  • Lead the design and enhancement of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect and manage complex AWS cloud environments with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Use Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform and CDK scripting, to support cloud configuration and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system performance and reliability issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and lead by example in a collaborative environment.
  • Perform code reviews, pull requests, and source control practices aligned with Git Flow or trunk-based development.
  • Provide on-call support for non-business-hours incidents and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps with proficient Python coding skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering systems to production with an emphasis on Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps Services or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience writing and publishing reusable, tested modules or libraries for use by other teams.
  • Experience integrating security at design time and evaluating the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Experience designing and delivering two or more infrastructure systems with automation and central configuration management.
  • Deep expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, cloud platforms such as AWS, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK, plus Git, networking, security, and database management.
  • Experience with multiple database technologies, including authentication and connectivity, and ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Experience performing code reviews and following source control standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
  • Ability to work on-call and respond to issues outside business hours.
  • Must be geographically flexible to align with global market hours, mainly 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.
  • Advanced DevOps, AWS, or Kubernetes certifications are preferred.
