Description

  • Own end-to-end architecture and scope for projects, leading teams to design and deliver Azure solutions that meet goals for value, security, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost.
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on engagements, guiding consultants and engineers so implementation stays aligned with architecture and standards.
  • Apply engineering practices such as clear interfaces, modular design, and testability to produce reliable, maintainable solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance during implementation through design reviews, pull-request reviews, and practical recommendations to unblock teams.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate code, tests, documentation, and related tasks, and share effective practices with teams and clients.
  • Design advanced semantic models using star schemas, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Advise clients on Power BI architecture, governance, and deployment strategies.
  • Lead discovery and requirements sessions, clarifying scope, dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria tied to business outcomes.
  • Enable teams to deliver with stable velocity and low defect rates by defining clear architecture, automation, and incremental delivery practices.
  • Mentor engineers and technical leads through pairing, design reviews, feedback, and cross-project mentorship.
  • Partner with sales and account leaders on pursuits by defining cloud vision, contributing architectural viewpoints, and participating in workshops, demos, and roadmap discussions.
  • Create and maintain reusable assets such as runbooks, workshops, starter repositories, and templates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience delivering solutions in a primary domain such as application development, cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or data and analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading development or engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or 5+ years in consulting.
  • Deep expertise in Power BI, including enterprise report and dashboard design, advanced DAX, M, and Power Query, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, tenant management, and workspace management for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience deploying cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL DB.
  • Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python and R.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing analytical queries.
  • Expertise in at least one major public cloud platform, with Azure strongly preferred.
  • Experience using AI-augmented development and integrating AI or machine learning capabilities through APIs, libraries, or cloud-based AI services.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, including backlog refinement and iteration planning.
  • Proven experience leading hybrid and remote teams across time zones while maintaining alignment, quality, and predictable delivery.
  • Experience in consulting or professional services is a plus.
  • Ability to be hands-on with implementation while also designing and communicating complex cloud architectures.
